Forest Leaf Ultra Alpha Review

Forest Leaf are not a well known supplement manufacturer. But their leading testosterone booster, Ultra Alpha, is getting a lot of attention at the minute. That’s why we’ve done a full Ultra Alpha review.

So what is Ultra Alpha supposed to do?

Who is it designed for?

Most importantly, is it any good?

Forest Lead Ultra Alpha testosterone booster

According to Forest Leaf, Ultra Alpha is designed to deliver the following key benefits:

  • Increased muscle growth
  • Higher energy levels
  • Improved muscle recovery time
  • Higher drive levels

Indeed, these benefits are what we would expect someone to experience if their testosterone levels were significantly increased.

Judging by this list, we think Ultra Alpha is primarily designed for young men looking to get more out of their weight training.

This may be because they have an exhausting schedule which depletes their test levels, or because they are an amateur bodybuilder in need of a competitive edge.

In any case, we aren’t here to talk about what this supplement says it can do.

We need to find out what it can really do.

Is Forest Leaf Ultra Alpha legit?

Does it do what it says it will?

Is it safe?

We’ll answer these questions below in our full Ultra Alpha review. If you don’t have time to read the whole thing, you can skip to our summary at the end.

Ultra Alpha Formula

Here is the Ultra Alpha formula as it looks on the bottle:

Ultra Alpha Formula

Roght off the bat, we can tell you that we are less than impressed with this formula.

What we have here are several ingredients which are not known to do anything for testosterone levels, and others which have not been dosed properly.

That is not a very appealing combination.

As always, we’ll go over the main benefits of the product and the main negatives. With such a poorly constructed formula, we think this is going to be a very one-sided break down!

Main Benefits

There isn’t a great deal that we like about Ultra Alpha.

However, there is at least one or two good things we can say about this natural testosterone booster.

In each serving of Forest Leaf Ultra Alpha, we get 50mg of a standard Nettle Leaf Extract.

Nettle Leaf Extract is a superb ingredient usually found in only the best natural testosterone boosters.

Nettle Leaf Extract, when consumed as a supplement extract, significantly raises free testosterone levels.

A compound in Stinging Nettle Extract, Ligans, has been shown in respected clinical trials to bind to Sex Hormone Binding Globulin.

By binding to sex hormone globulin, ligans reduces the amount of SHBG in the blood which can bind to testosterone (which thereby renders it useless to us).

This study, for example, found that Stinging Nettle Root Extract supplementation was able to massively reduce SHBG binding.

But this study also highlights a mjor problem with the good ingredients in Ultra Alpha.

That problem is dosing.

The cited study states clearly that the results were very dose-dependent.

Forest Leaf Ultra Alpha only provides 50mg of Nettle Extract per serving.

To see results at all, you would need to use at least 100mg of Nettle Root Extract, and that is assuming that the extract quality is very high; around 10:1.

Our current top rated test booster, Prime Male, provides 160mg of highly potent, 10:1 Nettle Root Extract per serving.

Compare that to Forest Lead Ultra Alpha and you see our issue.

Ultra Alpha ingredients Nettle Root

We also get 100mg of Mucuna Puriens in each serving of Forest Leaf Ultra Alpha.

The extract quality here is very good; 40% of this MP extract is L-Dopa.

We use Mucuna Puriens, or Velvet Bean as it is sometimes called, precisely for this L-Dopa content.

The L-Dopa in Mucuna Puriens is thought to be responsible for the plant’s incredible fertility-promoting properties.

This study looked at MP’s ability to help men struggling with infertility. The researchers found that “treatment with M. pruriens regulates steroidogenesis and improves semen quality in infertile men.”

We would still like to see more than 100mg though, since there isn’t much else going on in this formula.

Main Drawbacks

The rest of the formula is pretty much useless if you ask us.

Not only can we not see any of the major ingredients we expect to see in a modern testosterone booster, but the ingredients that are here aren’t even usually touted as potent test booster, estrogen blockers, or libido enhancers.

Take the main ingredient, Oat Straw, for example.

Oat Straw is found in many natural supplements designed for combatting stress.

Yet it doesn’t really seem to do a great deal for strength.

We’ve never actually seen anybody claim that Oat Straw Extract can help with free testosterone levels.

Nor have we ever even seen any scientific studies looking at Oat Straw in this way – much less any proof that it does!

Oat Straw Ultra Alpha ingredients

Diindolymethane (DIM) is another bogus ingredient which crops up again and again in Amazon-focused test boosters.

DIM is found naturally in broccoli, kale, and cauliflower.

It is thought to have amazing anti-carcinogenic effects, as well as some mild activity as an aromatase inhibitor.

Aromatase is the enzyme which converts excess free testosterone to estrogen.

By inhibiting aromatase, you allow for more free testosterone to stay in circulation for longer.

The problems?

For one thing, this property has not been firmly established in lab settings.

Secondly, and most importantly, taking a large dose of concentrated DIM might act in a contradictory manner. That is, it might actually boost aromatase activity!

In our opinion, it is not worth playing around with an ingredient if its benefits are unproven and its side effect risks are so great!

We could say more about the other ingredients in Forest Lead Ultra Alpha, but we think that gives you a good enough idea.

Forest Leaf Ultra Alpha Side Effects

If you’re thinkinging of using Forest Leaf Ultra Alpha, then you need to be aware of the potential side effects.

In fact, with so many ingredients liable to cause minor issues, we think the side effects section is the most important part of this Forest Leaf Ultra Alpha review.

First off, as mentioned above, consuming “too much” DIM in a single dose is thought to actually stimulate aromatase activity.

That means that higher doses will encourage your body to convert more free testosterone into estrogen.

This point highlights just how precise you need to be when you are attempting hormone manipulation via aromatase inhibition.

There’s a reason why bodybuilders spend thousands of dollars per year on their pharmaceutical aromatase inhibitors; get this wrong, and you’re in trouble!

Ultra Alpha side effects

We also have ingredients such as tribulus terrestris, which are both sometimes associated with side effects.

As always, it is incredibly important that you talk to your regular doctor about your plans to use a natural testosterone booster like Forest Lead Ultra Alpha.

Even if a supplement is 100% natural, that does not mean it is 100% safe. Supplements always conain unusual ingredients at high concentrations. Talk to a mendical professional before proceeding; that’s an order!

Forest Leaf Ultra Alpha Review Summary – Should You Buy It?

In our opinion, Ultra Alpha is far from a top-quality natural testosterone booster.

It doesn’t contain any of the ingredients that make today’s leading test boosters stand out from the crowd.

It is missing most of the best-proven and most effective natural free testosterone raising substances we know of today.

The ingredients it does contain are either ineffective, weak, or under-dosed.

One ingredient, DIM, poses a potential estrogenic side effect risk; not great from a testosterone support supplement!

All in all, if you want real results, reliability, and value for money, then look elsewhere.

Forest Lead Ultra Apha doesn’t deliver on any of these fronts.
